Villa Farneta

In the Valdichiana valley in Tuscany near Cortona, Montepulciano, and Lake Trasimeno in Umbria is this recently built villa is suitable for up to 13 guests with its own private pool, air conditioning and great views over the Tuscan hills.

The villa is in the hamlet of Farneta, where, in the last century, even fossils of prehistoric elephants were found by the flamboyant local priest who left quite a cultural heritage in this small hamlet. Farneta itself is a small hamlet with one bar.

The pool of 6 by 12 meters has been fenced and offers a unique view over the hills towards Cortona. If you like walking or cycling, this is an excellent choice. The valley of the Valdichiana is hilly, but not mountainous.

In the garden near the barbecue is a covered terrace overlooking the Tuscan hills.

The villa was originally divided into three spacious apartments, hence why there are three complete kitchens to use. The villa is recently built and has all modern comforts.

On the main floor is a bedroom with a double bed and a bedroom with a single bed, sharing one bathroom. At this side of the building is a separate, fully equipped kitchen. Sleeps 3 guests.

The other side of this floor has a bedroom with a double bed and a bedroom with a bunk bed - sleeps 2 adults and 2 children. These rooms share a bathroom. In between the two areas is a large space turned into a living and dining room, and also here is a spacious, fully equipped kitchen.

A staircase leads upstairs where there is a double bedroom with a bathroom - sleeps 2 guests.

Going down the stairs to the lower floor is an apartment all open plan with a double bedroom, a bathroom, and a third fully equipped kitchen. There is a bedroom with two single beds and a sofa bed, only for children. French doors open up to the garden with the swimming pool. Furthermore, there is an extra toilet on this floor. A family of 5 can stay here comfortably.

Each kitchen has a dishwasher, a large fridge with a freezer, and an induction plate to cook on. The bathrooms have a shower, and one also has a bathtub. Each bathroom has a hairdryer fixed to the wall.

There is air conditioning and wifi. To the side of the house is a laundrette with a washing machine, dryer, and iron.

The pool is open from May to the end of September.

Tourism tax: Currently, this tax is Eur  2,50/person/night for a maximum of 4 nights (the amount remains the same for longer periods). Children until 12 years of age do not have to pay.

Use of the heating or the air conditioning will have to be paid for, before departure, based on consumption: €0,50 kWh.
